Steve Else is the CEO, co-founder and majority owner of BroadStar Wind Systems. Apart from being a serial entrepreneur and mechanical engineer, Steve spent over 20 years as an executive in the Technology sector. Steve was an early employee at both Oracle and Ariba, and was instrumental in building both organizations and helping them to achieve their ultimate success. In 2002, Steve ventured into the oil & gas industry, founding BroadStar Energy, a developer of natural gas resources in Texas and Louisiana primarily focused on the Cotton Valley and Haynesville Shale formations. Steve sold BroadStar Energy’s Haynesville assets to Chesapeake Energy in 2006 and the Texas assets to Saint Mary Land & Exploration in 2008; BroadStar Energy retains a significant royalty position in both plays. In parallel with the oil and gas ventures, Steve began collaboration with TGS Innovations in 2003. The partnership ultimately led to the development of the patented AeroCam wind turbine technology, which forms the core technology of BroadStar Wind Systems. Steve has funded BroadStar Wind Systems since its inception.
