Welcome Letter

June 18, 2010

Dear Prospective Dealer,

BroadStar Wind Distributor, LLC is excited to announce that we are offering exclusive Dealer territories in the U.S. to qualified, motivated companies to market our renewable wind energy solution for commercial environments. BroadStar’s solution features our proprietary AeroCamTM wind turbine technology, which will produce power at any commercial or industrial site with moderate wind conditions through its modular wind energy system that integrates multiple 11kW AeroCam wind turbines to accommodate site-specific energy needs.

The right timing with the right wind energy system. The AeroCam technology was developed out of a passion to provide a renewable energy solution for distributed wind energy generation at the point of power consumption in commercial environments with moderate wind conditions. Based upon the heightened interest from businesses that want to deploy renewable energy solutions and the availability of government incentives, the timing is ideal for the introduction of BroadStar’s proprietary wind energy system! The great news is that BroadStar’s solution works in moderate, yet turbulent wind conditions found in commercial environments and provides an attractive financial payback to the end customer.

Our proprietary technology will be commercially available to the market in 2011. In addition to creating the best-of-breed wind energy system for the commercial market, BroadStar has been able to implement state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques through its supply chain network that provide an attractive initial purchase and total system cost for our exclusive Dealers.

The right resources. BroadStar’s management team has extensive experience in engineering, product design and development, marketing, procurement, supply chain management and distribution from leading technology companies such as Lockheed Martin, Sandia Labs and IBM. We also have professionals from the wind energy industry who are also ready to serve our Dealers…and, our end customers. In addition to BroadStar’s internal resources, the company established a very important strategic relationship with FM Facility Maintenance, a leading $375 million facilities maintenance company with over 20,000 customer locations across the U.S. In fact, BroadStar’s Chairman is also the CEO and founder of FM.

What does this mean for one of our exclusive Dealers? BroadStar is a full service provider of renewable wind energy solutions. We will work closely with our Dealers to deliver an economical and fully operational system to each of your customers’ installation sites in your exclusive territory or territories. BroadStar’s guiding principle is that we will only be successful if our Dealers are successful by helping their customers deploy wind energy systems that truly perform at each selected site and generate a meaningful ROI. Our professional service team, engineers and client support personnel are ready to assist our Dealers…and, our end customers. Specific support offered through BroadStar to its Dealers will be described in greater detail in the exclusive Dealer information package, once we receive your signed Non-Disclosure Agreement.

The AeroCam technology’s competitive advantages. Commercial environments were previously thought to be poorly suited for on-site wind power because of the shortcomings of traditional turbine designs. Traditional propeller-based designs need smooth, steady airflows to function properly, otherwise they are inefficient and create unacceptable noise and vibration. And, while a few vertical axis designs operate in such turbulence, most require electricity from the grid to begin operation. However, the proprietary AeroCam wind energy system, composed of multiple AeroCam vertical axis wind turbines turned horizontally, can be mounted on rooftops or free-standing towers at commercial and industrial facilities or corporate and educational campuses. Each system can be easily assembled, installed and maintained and can accommodate site-specific energy needs by integrating multiple Aerocam turbines. The AeroCam technology ties in to the customer’s local power grid to offset their facility’s grid-supplied electricity. Depending upon wind conditions, each AeroCam wind turbine generates 10,000 to 20,000 annual kW-hours -- so, for example, a five-turbine modular system could generate 50,000 to 100,000 annual kW-hours per system. Here are a few more of BroadStar's technological competitive advantages:

  • Superior Power Density: Unequaled efficiency translates to significantly more power production per square foot of real estate — two to three times that of solar PV
  • Low Noise and Vibration: Highly efficient rotor generates power at slower rotational speeds with minimal noise -- under 50 db, equivalent to a gentle breeze
  • Low Cut-in Speeds (8 mph): No grid-supplied electricity required to begin operation
  • Fail Safe Shutdown: Active sensor control detects abnormal operating conditions and shuts down turbine via fail-safe mechanical braking
  • Long Life: Slower rotation through its proprietary design creates less loading (wear) on structural components (20 year + engineered life)
  • Better Economics: Even than solar
  • Attractive Aesthetics: Low profile and paddlewheel-like design

Get in on the ground floor. We hope we have generated a high level of interest in BroadStar and in becoming an exclusive Dealer in partnership with us. BroadStar’s team is committed to become the leader in renewable wind energy solutions for commercial environments. If you are looking for an opportunity in the renewable wind energy market to serve the commercial and industrial customers in your territory, then BroadStar is THE solution to consider.

We are seeking qualified Dealers who have the commitment to excellence as well as the motivation and qualifications to implement BroadStar’s wind energy systems in exclusive territories. If interested in learning more about this opportunity and potentially becoming one of our exclusive Dealers, (1) Sign and return the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) today, (2) Complete our exclusive Dealer Request for Information Application, (3) If approved, then BroadStar will send the Dealer Agreement for review, signature and return.
